Bundle offer: AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium plus AntiVir Mobile
Tettnang, 16 August 2006 - Viruses, worms and Trojans – these dangers don’t just threaten PCs but also increasingly attack cell phones and PDAs. For this reason, Avira has put together a comprehensive security package in a current summer promotion: the virus protection software Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium is now available together with the AntiVir Mobile solution for portable devices as an exclusive download version for € 29.95.
The offer is intended for private users and in particular small offices, as the Premium protection of Avira can also be used for commercial purposes. Thanks to the single license design combined with AntiVir Mobile, the security package is particularly suitable for portable devices of field service personnel. The anti-virus software provides ideal protection for notebooks, for example, while AntiVir Mobile wards off dangerous viruses and other malware on cell phones or PDAs.
The Avira AntiVir software has a powerful, TÜV-certified scanner and in addition to low system load is characterized by its user-friendliness and automatic updates. Compared with the popular freeware AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic, the Premium version has further security and convenience functions. For example, users can define the update intervals and receive additional protection through the detection of adware and spyware. The comprehensive security check by scanning emails (POP3) or selected directories for malicious code.
AntiVir Mobile can be quickly and easily installed on cell phones or PDAs and is available now. Updates are also made within a few seconds. Thanks to the AntiVir Malware Detection Engine specially developed by Avira, the software requires 150 to 220 kB RAM and is therefore one of the smallest and most powerful scanning engines on the market. The operating system immediately notifies the user of all virus detections. Files that are classified as dangerous can easily be deleted immediately.
The solution supports PDAs/cell phones with the operating systems Windows Mobile 5 or Windows CE (3.0 or later) and cell phones with Symbian 7.0 to 8.0, Series 60 or Symbian 7.x. These include Nokia 3230, 6260, 6600, 6620, 6630, 6670, 6680, 6681, 6682, 7610, Panasonic X700 and X800, Samsung SGH D720 and SGH D730, Nokia Communicator 9300 and 9500.
The combined package Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium plus AntiVir Mobile can now be downloaded for € 29.95 at http://www.avira.local/en/products/productfamily. As with all products of the ‘Premium’ range, € 5 of the purchase price are donated directly to the Auerbach Foundation.
