Detection is Avira’s highest priority – so is health care
Tue, 30 September 2008
Tettnang, 30 September 2008 – Warning against problems at the right time is the highest priority for a manufacturer of anti-virus software! However, it is not the only reason why Avira has joined the initiative “Baden Wurttemberg against bowel cancer”.
Bowel cancer screening can save lives – everyone knows this. If the cancer is caught early, before it has spread to other sites such as the liver, the chances of a cure are as high as 80 per cent.* All companies that join the Baden Wurttemberg initiative obtain a free bowel cancer test for each of their employees, under the patronage of the ministry for social affairs of Baden Wurttemberg and the Felix Burda Foundation in cooperation with the health organization TÜV SÜD Life. The test is simple and fast – and the participants remain anonymous. Avira views the well being of its employees as a very high priority and supports proactive initiatives such as this.
Avira is joining this campaign! A “healthy company” should have more to offer than just good revenue. Bowel cancer can be treated successfully if it is detected at an early stage. The virus scientists underline once more that their company claim “More Than Security” means a lot.
