The Information Management Group (IMG) and Avira make SAP NetWeaver virus-proof

Tettnang, 18 July 2006 – The Information Management Group (IMG), the international management consultants, will from now on be offering its clients the virus protection solution Avira AntiVir Virus Scan Adapter for SAP Solutions, which has been certified by SAP, as an integral part of its solutions portfolio for SAP NetWeaver. The joint service offering includes not only the product itself but also integration into the existing SAP arena.

Because of the open structure of the SAP NetWeaver integration and application platform, there is a risk of virus or spyware attacks each time an upload takes place. For example, externally uploaded supplier documents related to SAP Supply Chain Management are liable to contain viruses, trojans or other malware. The Avira AntiVir Scan Adapter (VSA) checks these uploads directly at the input stage and thus provides effective protection against possible contamination of the overall system.

Our offering comprises the provision of expert, personal consulting by a contact person and both installation and configuration of the AntiVir software – which is usually contained in the price of the package. As a result of the cooperative venture with Avira, our customer services have been enhanced with the addition of a key element to which too little attention has been paid in SAP projects in the past because of the shortage of solutions."
