Top position for Avira in the well known AV-Test

Tettnang, 29 November 2006 – In a recent comprehensive test run with 460.000 infected files, the anti-virus test laboratory AV Test.de examined the detection rate of over thirty current antivirus software programs. "The surprise winners from the September test, Webwasher and AntiVir, won again the first two places" - so the result of „PC world".
The test criteria - Update of the products: 11 November 2006 - was comparably with the ones made at the end of September. However, the testers added a new class of malware: the Worms. Beside over 83.000 worms, the malware collection consisted of more than 86,000 Bots, 218,000 Trojans and 79,000 Backdoors. Backdoors.
